THE RANGE
Our Britannia Star pond yacht range has been specifically designed with young children in mind, they are all about having fun although it must be said that adults find them great fun as well! The design of the Britannia Star was inspired by the all wooden 5m smuggler class specifically a prototype named "Bandersnatch" built in the 1930s.
These tiny entry-level single sail yachts are very good performers a slight breeze will send them scooting across the pond. Hopefully sailing the Britannia Star will spur a life long interest in pond yachts
Britannia Star pond yachts are all hand-carved from a solid piece of timber and finished in varnish or painted in a variety of different colours. A shiny stainless steel keel helps to keep the Star upright and a fully adjustable wooden cleat at the stern allows you to trim the mainsail to change course. A small wooden display stand is provided so that you may display the Star when not in use. The Star is a superb little yacht giving hours of fun for young and old alike, the Star can be sailed in the bath, on ponds, or swimming pools, and on small lakes. Please note that young children must always be supervised by a responsible adult when near water.
